#WOW (What a Wednesday!)

I had a half written blog post to tidy up and publish today (the next installment of our five rhymes series) but this will have to wait until tomorrow now because yesterday something amazing happened to me…

I was chosen as one of Jacqueline Gold’s #WOW winners on Twitter.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Jacqueline Gold is the Chief Executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox and she holds a host of very impressive business winning credentials including: second Most Powerful Woman in Retail by Retail Week, the Most Inspirational Businesswoman in the UK (Barclays Bank), one of Britain’s Business Icons (Natwest Bank), and one of Britain’s Top Businesswomen by publications including Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Woman, and Good Housekeeping plus the Daily Mail listed Jacqueline as one of Britain’s 100 Most Influential Women!

#WOW is the hashtag for “Women on Wednesdays” Jacqueline’s fabulous competition for business women to enter! If you are a woman in business all you have to do is follow Jacqueline and tweet her the details of your business on Wednesday from 1-3pm using the #WOW hashtag and she ‘retweets’ her three favourites and then leaves a lovely personal comment about your business.

So yesterday (Wednesday 26th October 2011) on the way to the NCT Stars Award Ceremony at the House of Lords (I was nominated for Most Supportive Volunteer but not shortlisted this time) I tweeted and went on with my day never imagining that I would actually be one of the winners…

On the train home I thought I would quickly check my emails and that was when I realised that I had been one of the lucky winners as I had an inbox full of congratulations and my Twitter stream had gone crazy!
