Don’t forget to sign your children up for the summer reading challenge at your local library, it’s FREE (always a bonus!) and you’ll get a stage set, stickers and all sorts of other things along the way.
The Summer Reading Challenge is run by The Reading Agency in libraries across the UK and is the biggest and most successful reading promotion for 4-11 year olds, encouraging all children who take part to read at least six books over the summer holiday.
We went today… collected our tickets, put our stars on the progress board, completed the treasure hunt to find out the characters names and borrowed our first books.
What are your children reading this summer?
